Why bother with resistors, the simplest, if not the oldest,

component instead of state of art semiconductors?

Modern semiconductor amplifier can realize very high

gain which can reach almost infinity in terms of our measurement capability. But the gain fluctuates with temperature change very violently. This fluctuation

makes the semiconductor parts often useless. Therefore, modern closed loop electronic system relies on the simple, cheap and manageable feedback to define its gain and parameters. In comparison to commercial caps and inductors, which have typically 20% Tolerance and very high temperature coefficient (hundreds of ppm/°K) resistive components turn out to be the only ones that can be

commercially realized to reach up to 0.01% tolerance, 0.1ppm/K° temperature coefficient, and sustain very harsh environment. NOVOTRONICS's know how enables these to be precise and reliable.
